Abstract Aiming at the application requirements of natural objects as false targets in laser angle deception jamming, based on the analysis of the energy transmission of jamming and the relationship between the weapon threat angle, ground object inclination, incident angle and reflection angle in the jamming process, the energy distribution model of natural object false target established. Based on the established model, the simulation study on the disturbance energy distribution of sand and gravel and building features is carried out. The simulation results show that under the condition of the same power laser irradiation and the same inclination angle of the ground features, the interference effect of the sand and gravel features on the laser-guided weapons at the same position is better than that of the buildings. In actual protection, the selected sand and gravel features are higher priority than architectural features. The interference energy reflected by the same kind of feature increases with the inclination of the features. For false architectural targets with better diffuse reflection characteristics, when the threat angle is constant, the reflected energy reaches the maximum when the inclination of the features is approximately complementary to the threat angle; for sand and gravel targets. There is a mirror reflection component that varies with the incident angle so that when the seeker receives the ground object’s maximum reflection energy, the ground object’s threat angle and the inclination angle are not satisfied mutual relations. The relationship between the inclination angle of the sand and gravel objects and the weapon threat angle at the maximum reflected energy received by the seeker is further studied. Through data analysis, the choice of the inclination angle of the sand and gravel natural objects in the actual protection process is obtained. The conclusion must be at least greater than 31°. According to the characteristics of the scatter plot of the relationship between the inclination angle of the ground object and the threat angle, the first-order, second-order, third-order, and fourth-order polynomials are used to fit the two respectively. Under the premise of fully considering the function complexity and fitting performance, determine the third-order polynomial is the best fitting function. When the threat angle of the weapon is known, the inclination angle of sand and gravel natural objects can be obtained through third-order polynomial fitting to obtain the best interference-effect. The research results have a certain guiding significance for selecting false targets of natural features.
