Analysis of Trace Elements in Corn Stover by ICP-AES

Abstract:The contents of trace elements of Zn,Mg,Mn,Sr,Fe,Co,Ni and Se in the corn stover collected from Shanxi, Beijing, Xinjiang, Shandong, Neimeng, Gansu, Shaanxi, Jilin, Yunnan and Jiangsu, 10 different provinces in China, were determined by ICP-AES using nitrifying method of high pressure nitrifying pot. This method proved to be easily operational, rapid, highly sensitive, and accurate, and can be adopted as the method of determining many elements simultaneously. The recovery yields of Zn, Mg, Mn, Sr, Fe, Co, Ni and Se are 96.5%-103.8%, 98.0%-102.5%, 95.7%-104.1%, 97.1%-103.2%, 95.1%-101.3%, 95.1%-104.5%, 97.0%-103.5% and 95.9%-104.6%, respectively, and the relative standard deviation of all the elements is all below 5.00%.
