Spectral Analysis of the Structure of Trans/Cis-1,2-Dicyano- (p-Ethylphenyl)alkene

Abstract:Two precursors of soluble tetraazaporphrins, trans-1,2-dicyano-(p-ethylphenyl)alkene and cis-1,2-dicyano-(p-ethylphenyl)alkene, were synthesized. Their structures were confirmed by elemental analysis, FTIR, UV-Vis, GC/MS and 1H NMR. The differences in isomer structures of the trans and cis-1,2-dicyano-(p-ethylphenyl)alkenes were represented by the obvious differences in the spectra of UV-Vis, FTIR and 1H NMR. In addition, the reasons for the differences were also analyzed.
